Nedra Gaskill teaches singers of all ages in Mill Creek, Kirkland and Issaquah Washington. She holds a BS degree in Vocal Music Education from the University of Utah and is always learning and practicing, so she can be a better teacher for her students.
"My goal is that each student feels better about themselves when they leave the lesson than they did when they came in."
Nedra joined the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) in 1976 and has held office at National, Regional, District and Local levels. She teaches students of all levels and many styles with solid technique and vocal health a major focus.
Students perform regularly throughout the area from Studio Recitals, School and Community Productions to Benaroya and McCaw Halls. Some students sing for their own enjoyment and personal challenges.
"Nedra is an incredibly supportive and nurturing teacher. My daughter has developed a further love of singing, not to mention a great deal of self-confidence with singing in front of an audience, through her lessons with Nedra."
Nicki A., mother of a student
"Both of my daughters have studied with Nedra. Not only does Nedra build their repertoire and teach them music theory, but she trains them for performance, adjudication, and audition. They love their voice lessons and find joy in song."
"When I was looking for a voice teacher, another adult student referred me to Nedra Gaskill. Nedra has given me such a strong foundation in breathing, range and technique that my singing has really blossomed. She is patient, firm and generous with her students. NOT a scary teacher! Versatile with any music style. Nedra is a gem!"
"Singing with Nedra is a great experience. She has the patience and knowledge to bring out the best in her students. My singing continues to improve and I leave each lesson wanting to sing more."
